About Joe...

Massage Therapist Brighton

Hi, my name is Joe and I'm an Advanced Massage Therapist and owner of Massage In Brighton.

I've been involved with the health & well-being industry for over a decade, and have a great understanding of the human body not only as a Massage Therapist but also as a qualified Personal Trainer.

I qualified in Massage Therapy at a local training centre and studied with Brighton School Of Massage run by the inspiring Angelic Skoberla. Angelic's training is some of the best available as she teaches with her 20 years of experience as a Therapist.

Using the training from Brighton Massage School and my anatomical knowledge gained from Personal Training I have developed my own unique style of Massage which aims to help relax your muscles, rehabilitate your body and stimulate your circulation.

With my massage treatments I treat your body as a single entity and I like to understand your whole lifestyle in order to help you make some positive changes.

Whether it's about recovery or a better lifestyle, getting a massage treatment with me is always tailored to your needs and very effective.

Frequently Asked Questions

What type of massage do you offer?

Sports Massage, Deep Tissue Massage and Relaxation Massage. Sports Massage aims to treat specific injuries or problems, using pressure points, cross-fibre movements and forearms or fists. A sports massage is for recovery purposes.

Deep Tissue massage is a massage for those who like more pressure, it invloves deeper multi-directional strokes that work the deep layers of muscle to help target problem areas and release knots. Deep Tissue uses forearms, fists and thumbs alongside relaxing strokes to stimulate blood flow.

Relaxation Massage is a treatment with softer strokes that don't work deep into the muscles, it can aid in sleep and wellbeing.

Can you tailor the massage to suit the client?

Our massage treatments can be tailored to suit your needs and requirements. If you need a relaxing massage then I will tailor the massage to your requirements using very relaxing techniques and strokes.  If you want a more invigorating massage that works tight muscles and stimulates the body then I will use some more Deep Tissue & Sports techniques to help work the knots in the muscles and target problem areas. Every treatment we offer is tailor-made and adapted to suit the needs of the client. Please contact us before your massage and let us know your specific requirements and we will try to help you.

Do you offer mobile massage?

Yes, mobile massage is a minimum 90 minute treatment due to the added costs of travelling to you. Always best to contact in advance first before booking.

Do you treat injuries?

If you want to try and use massage as a way to treat your injury, relieve pain or aid recovery then we are happy to help using a Sports Technique Massage, however you may need the advice of a Physiotherapist who can give you a full diagnosis for your injury. Please get in touch to discuss your injury before booking a massage with us.

I have a bad back, will massage help?

Back pain is very common and can affect 4 in 5 adults. The stimulating techniques used during massage therapy can help alleviate some of the symptoms of back pain and increase blood flow to the affected muscles. Although it will not necessarily address the underlying cause of your back pain massage can certainly help in most cases.

Do you treat all genders?

Yes, our massage service is fully inclusive of all genders, you will be treated in a professional manner at all times, your privacy will be respected and I will only uncover areas of the body that you want massaged. We always leave the room before the treatment begins and again after the treatment to allow you time to get dressed after your massage.
